SHTX World Show

CoWN was well represented with over 40 CoWN members showing and we were stalled together in the same building.  The hospitality was outstanding and we all felt welcome. 

There were around 550 horses showing with 2 go arounds in each division.  There were four arenas running full-time for 4 days and at least for those of us who were first time exhibitors it was a hectic experience. I think everyone placed well in some divisions, but it was tough to do really well in both go arounds and each division.  At least for this exhibitor, penalties and OP’s kept cropping up, but it was a fun experience.  I certainly urge our members to plan to attend in 2026.

 The show was extremely well run with a great office crew keeping track of everything.  There were very pleasant gate stewards who kept everything running quickly. - Bill

🍂 Fallfest Recap

Fallfest was a tremendous success with nearly 180 horses entered! The show ran smoothly with very few hiccups, thanks in large part to our outstanding show manager. A huge thank-you to our volunteers, judges, and Board members — each of you played an essential role in making this show run seamlessly.

🖤 Sad News

We are saddened to share that George Logan, a past CoWN member and valued sponsor, passed away in October. Services will be held in Fort Collins. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

📋 Board Actions & Updates

The Board will be revising our Pro Am (Schooling) Division rules for 2026. While interest in the division was strong, we identified a few challenges in 2025 that we plan to address to improve clarity and consistency moving forward.

A reminder that the Board meets on the second Monday of every month via Zoom, and all CoWN members are welcome to listen in or participate.

⚖️ Disqualification Rule EV-190.5

Please remember that a horse may be disqualified for several reasons outlined in Rule EV-190.5.
Disqualified horses will count as class entries but will not receive points. However, the horse remains eligible for all-around awards at that show, and any points the rider earns at that show will still count toward Year-End Awards.

🏆 Year-End Awards Qualifications

To qualify for Year-End Awards, exhibitors must compete in all four events at a minimum of three shows throughout the season.

💼 CoWN Finances

CoWN remains in a strong financial position. Financial records will be available for member review at the Annual Meeting.
